Taurine aids nonalcoholic fatty liver
We explored how taurine can help alleviate nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) using an aged laying hen model. Our findings showed that a small amount of taurine was effective in reducing fat buildup and liver injury.

By analyzing liver tissues and biochemical markers, we found that taurine boosts fat breakdown and helps transport lipids, while also lowering oxidative stress in the liver. The study identified various metabolites linked to NAFLD, which taurine helps regulate, setting the stage for its potential use in treating liver disease in both humans and birds.

Taurine improves arsenic-induced liver damage
We explored how taurine impacts liver health in mice exposed to arsenic. The study involved three groups: a control group, an arsenic-intoxicated group, and a group treated with both arsenic and taurine.

We found that taurine significantly improved liver function by reducing key liver enzymes and protecting against oxidative stress. Specifically, taurine treatment reversed the harmful increase in certain enzyme levels and helped maintain vital antioxidants in the liver.

Overall, taurine shows promise as a protective agent against arsenic-induced liver damage.

Taurine aids liver fibrosis treatment
We explored taurine's role in managing liver fibrosis by focusing on its effects on activated hepatic stellate cells (aHSCs). In our study, aHSCs were subjected to different treatments, including taurine in various doses alongside a growth factor.

We found that taurine significantly reduced aHSC viability, suggesting it might help disrupt the harmful cycle of liver tissue damage. The mechanisms involved included inhibiting autophagy and enhancing processes like ferroptosis, essentially helping to clear out these activated cells.

Overall, taurine shows promise as a therapeutic avenue for liver fibrosis through these actions.

Work improvement

Approaching 60, I have fatty liver which impairs my liver function and leaves me easily fatigued. Working in landscaping, this is particularly challenging during hot seasons. However, with just two servings each morning, I can work effectively all day. I’m grateful, as it’s not readily available in Japan, prompting me to repurchase it repeatedly.

Improves liver function

I was using niacin for triglycerides. My neutral fats returned to normal, but liver function tests showed slight elevation. I wanted to avoid health issues, and after incorporating taurine, my levels normalised. Known for reducing fatigue, taurine seems beneficial for liver function, and its reasonable price makes it a worthwhile addition for detoxification and recovery.

Liver values improved

Extremely effective! I've been taking this and one capsule of milk thistle daily for a year now. Although I had mild fatty liver and my liver values were rising, they normalised about a month after starting this regimen. If I drink alcohol, I take a capsule before drinking and going to bed, and I avoid hangovers. Previously, I would tire easily when my liver values were poor, but that fatigue has gone. I can’t do without this for my health care now.

Taurine alleviates pesticide toxicity
We explored how taurine supplementation can help mitigate the harmful effects of pesticides, specifically lambda-cyhalothrin and methomyl, on Nile tilapia. In our study, juvenile fish were divided into eight groups.

While the pesticides led to behavioral changes and liver and kidney damage, taurine-enriched diet significantly reduced these adverse impacts. This included lowering stress hormone levels and improving liver and kidney functions, highlighting taurine's potential as an effective feed supplement in aquaculture.

Taurine improves liver health in fish
We aimed to understand how taurine affects liver health in juvenile turbot fish eating a high carbohydrate diet. Through two feeding trials over ten weeks, we tested varying levels of taurine to see its impact on oxidative stress, inflammation, and ER stress.

Our findings indicated that taurine supplementation, particularly at levels around 1.2%, improved antioxidant defenses and reduced inflammatory markers in the fish. Notably, it helped lower harmful substances in the liver and reduced stress responses linked to inflammation.

Overall, taurine proved beneficial in enhancing liver health amidst a high-carb diet, presenting a potential dietary strategy for managing liver-related issues in these fish.

I take it with choline, inositol, and carnitine, significantly enhancing my ability to break down fats and deliver them to the mitochondria effectively. I struggle with fat digestion, fearing accumulation in my liver resulting in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It’s vital for bile flow and digestion. When I miss a dose, I feel worse and struggle to sleep well. Highly recommend for energy enhancement!

Taurine is an essential amino acid that isn’t adequately absorbed from food, so I take it for maintaining health. My mother, 72, also takes it along with other vitamins. It aids in the rheology of bile while helping to manage my Gelliere syndrome, both crucial for maintaining digestive health and preventing gallbladder issues.

I take this on my doctor's recommendation. I felt a surge of energy by the fifth day. I take one capsule after meals. It has a good choleretic effect and supports the liver, which I combine with lycetin. The capsules are quite large, but I administer them to my children too. The doctor has prescribed a 3-month course.
